In our efforts to promote Sustainability with regard to our impact on the Planet, at
Dr. Reddy’s we look at two aspects: On one hand, we need to design products, processes and plants in such a way that they have a sensible environmental footprint from Day One. On the other hand, we need to minimize and manage the adverse impacts of our existing environmental footprint through treatment, recycling and safe disposal.

At another level, our Sustainability efforts are manifested in two ways: First, we comply with the laws and regulations; second, we go beyond what the law mandates in order to keep our planet safe for all future generations to come.

Our “License to Operate” is linked mainly to successfully minimizing the adverse impacts of our existing environmental footprint through treatment and recycling, and ensuring that we comply with the law of the land. However, our “Responsibility to the future generations” is mostly linked to the way we design our products, processes and plants to have a sensible environmental footprint, as we strive to go beyond mere compliance.
