| Besides LABS, Micro-entrepreneurship and KARV, Dr. Reddy’s Foundation is also currently working on a number of projects that are in the pilot stage in a few areas. Once these projects prove successful, they will be extended to other areas of society and will thereby become mainstream projects. A few of these are:
1) Neighborhood Schools – schools that provide an alternative to badly-run government schools, acknowledge a child’s right to education, and involve members of the local community to impart this education.
2) Educational Resource Centers – institutes that provide schools with support in developing the skills, systems and processes that will allow them to impart quality education to students.
3) Bridge Courses for Domestic Workers – courses that allow girls of between 12 and 18 years of age to catch up with the education lost out on during years of work as domestic help, and allow them to continue their education from there.
