| The Micro-Entrepreneurship Development Cell of DRF provides young members of marginalized sections of society an alternative to the 90-day LABS program by proving Micro-entrepreneurship training. Skills are imparted in such areas as agriculture, animal husbandry and vending, providing small-scale livelihood options in a number of areas. The Entrepreneurship Promotion Program encourages and supports budding entrepreneurs through skill development, business plan support and bank and market links.
Two projects under this program that have met with great success are ‘Aarogya’ (which means ‘Healthy’) – a project promoting the sale of clean, hygienic food from mobile eateries, and Corn Bytes – sweet corn vending machines run by physically challenged young people.
