Dr. Reddy’s has established one of the leading Generics businesses in the US, which brings an industry-ranked pipeline, vertically-integrated R&D, and cost-efficient manufacturing orientation to a broad customer base including all major retailers, wholesalers/distributors, pharmacy benefit managers, regional/non-warehousing chains, and independents. The business has consistently demonstrated customer service levels that have contributed to numerous successful product launches and significant market share. Dr. Reddy’s is also in the planning phases of launching a Specialty Pharmaceuticals business in the US with a focus on therapeutic areas such as Dermatology and Oncology. Both the Generics and Specialty businesses in North America have successfully in-licensed, co-developed, and acquired products with various partners. With its 2006 acquisition of betapharm in Germany, Dr. Reddy’s enjoys a market position of being the 4th largest Branded Generic company with a market share of ~3.5%. This presence now includes an employee base of 370 including a field force of 250. Dr. Reddy’s also has an established Generics business in the United Kingdom, and emerging presence in Spain, and a plan to expand in various other European countries. Dr. Reddy’s has a strong presence in what is commonly known as the “BRICS” region (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa). In fact, the company is the 6th most prescribed company in India and the 8th largest company in Russia’s retail segment. We have joint ventures in China, South Africa, and Australia, in addition to 16 representative offices and third party distribution setups in 21 countries. With over 1800 field sales representatives covering physicians (primary care and specialists), pharmacies, and institutions across many of these countries, Dr. Reddy’s sells over 100 products in numerous therapeutic categories. |
