Announces Strategic Alliance with GlaxoSmithKline for emerging markets

Dr. Reddy’s announces a strategic partnership with GlaxoSmithKline plc (GSK) to develop and market select products across emerging markets outside India. Under the terms of the agreement, GSK will gain access to Dr. Reddy’s rich and diverse portfolio and future pipeline of more than 100 branded pharmaceuticals in fast growing therapeutic segments such as cardiovascular, diabetes, oncology, gastroenterology and pain management.

Reorganizes Drug Discovery Operations

Effective 1^st June 2009, the Drug Discovery operations of the company are reorganized with the merger of Dr. Reddy's Research Foundation in Hyderabad with Aurigene, Dr. Reddy’s wholly-owned drug discovery subsidiary in Bangalore. The employees, facilities and infrastructure became resources of Aurigene, which will now operate out of two sites - Bangalore and Hyderabad.
