Dr. Reddy’s comes up trumps against all odds by not only having its stock oversubscribed but also becoming the best performing IPO for the year.

Becomes the first Indian pharmaceutical company to obtain an 180-day marketing exclusivity in the US

Dr. Reddy’s becomes the first Indian pharmaceutical company to obtain 180-day exclusive marketing rights for a generic drug in the US market with the launch of Fluoxetine 40 mg capsules on August 3, 2001. Fluoxetine is Dr. Reddy’s first successful Para 4 challenge and generates about Rs 250 crores in a year and six months.

Dr.K.Anji Reddy recieves the Padma Shri, India’s fourth highest civilian honour from President K.R. Narayanan for his contribution in the field of Trade and Industry.
